There are moments in life when the storm doesn't just knock at your door, it tears down the entire house.

 

If you had told me a few years ago what I would have to endure in a single season, I would have told you it was impossible to survive. I found myself facing a terrifying reality: cancer had returned for the second time. As I braced myself to fight for my physical life, my personal life shattered.

 

I went through a painful divorce, after being married for twenty-eight years. Just two weeks later, before the ink on the papers was even dry, my ex-spouse passed away. One year after that devastating blow, my beloved mother took her final breath and went home to be with the Lord.

In a terrifyingly short span of time, my health, my marriage, and my support system were completely gone.

 

The weight of that season was suffocating. I remember the heavy, dark silence of the nights. I felt completely lonely, deeply rejected, and utterly abandoned. I found myself crying out in the dark, wondering how much a single soul was expected to bear, and asking if God could still see me in the shadows of my grief.

 

But I am here writing these words today to tell you that God is a keeper.

 

When the world walked out, the Holy Spirit walked in. In my deepest isolation, God became my closest companion. He picked up the broken pieces of my shattered heart and began to glue them back together with His love. He didn't just comfort my aching spirit; He reached into my physical body and healed me from cancer a second time. I am standing here today as a walking miracle—healed, delivered, and restored.

 

This book is not just a collection of my hurts; it is a monument to God’s faithfulness.

 

I am sharing my rawest, most vulnerable moments with you because I want you to know that no matter how dark your night is, the morning is coming. If you feel rejected by man, you are still chosen by God. If you feel abandoned, He promises He will never leave you nor forsake you.
